Finished Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at University of Florida in Gainesville, finishing in 1997. Served in the Army for 6 years as a psychiatrist (Korea, Germany and Georgia). Came to work at current group LifeStance Health that was called Florida Psychiatric Associates back in 2003 and latter Orlando Behabioral Healthcare. I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who takes a holistic approach to treating patients. I recognize that people are more than of their parts. Maximizing wellness is the goal when working with clients, and to this end, exploration into complex biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors is important to gain a full view of the client's needs. Nadia Simplice, PMHNP has over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned a Post Master’s Degree in Mental Health at the University of Cincinnati, and a Master of Science in Nursing at Maryville University. Nadia has worked with the low-income mental health population in Deltona, FL. Her clinical expertise is in depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders. She has extensive experience working with various age groups including the elderly at nursing homes, ALF, and with home-bound patients. She has held various roles in mental health hospitals and private practices in the community.

My ideal client would be one who is open to learning ways to be the best version of themselves and willing to work on making those changes with the help of their healthcare team.

After nursing school , I immediately started working as a renal nurse in an inpatient hospital with a focus on dialysis and mental health. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see.
