These services are designed to provide comprehensive support to our patients on their mental health journey. Our services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.

I see adults, adolescents, and children ages six and older. My ideal client is someone who has had anxiety, panic attacks, irritability, anger management problems, depression, insomnia, loneliness, or suicidal thoughts. If you have fibromyalgia or memory problems sometimes there are ways to turn that around. I do medical screening to see whether there might be a medical issue that contributes to your psychiatric symptoms. Metabolism can be an issue and some might lose weight in treatment. If you are interested in medication-free treatment there are better options today.

I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who graduated from Vanderbilt in 2016. Prior to starting a private practice, I worked in the acute setting at Salem Hospital treating clients in an inpatient unit. I have experience treating clients in stable, and acute disease states. Prior to beginning my career in psychiatric nursing, I specialized in behavioral neuroscience and studied for 12-years a combination of psychology, counseling, and behavioral interventions. My passion is mental health care and I seek to incorporate different modalities into the care.

As a new grad and mom, I am very aware of how life can be very stressful and overwhelming. Life sometimes gets hard to process and get through just day to day. I became a nurse and a nurse practitioner to help people with times like these. I want to have people see that things can be better and will work with them in a safe, nonjudgmental space to allow them to find what they hope and dream of. I offer brief therapy with specific goals, I use an adaptive modality to focus on each individual client's need at the time. In addition, I also prescribe and manage medications both in person at my brick and mortar practice, and given the advances in security and communication via telepsychiatry appointments scheduled via my office staff with established clients as Oregonian law stipulates at least every six months that we meet.

A majority of my experience as a DNP has been focused on medication management in addition to the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant depression.

I began my career at the Menninger Clinic in Houston, TX where I gained invaluable experience working with young adults with complex trauma, substance abuse, and mood & personality disorders. Since leaving Menninger, I have had the chance to care for a variety of patients in community, emergency, and forensic settings.

Dr. Sveta Orlova is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and works with NeuStart Psychiatry & TMS. She has ten years of psychiatry experience with all ages, with a special focus in children and youth. She provides comprehensive evaluations, pharmacotherapy, and TMS services. She also collaborates closely with therapists, and other members of the client's team.
