Hi, I am Fernanda Cooley. I have a doctoral degree in nursing practice, dually certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner, and have a master's degree in Christian Counseling and a master's of Divinity with Biblical languages. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and have basic knowledge of ASL. My approach to mental healthcare is holistic. I love to integrate the care of the spirit, the mind and the body, as my training mentioned above shows.
I have 7 years of experience as an NP, treating depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenia, substance use disorders, alcohol use disorder and trauma. My approach is patient-centered, trauma-informed care. I have training in trauma therapy, CBT and extensive training in culture-sensitive care
I have worked with clients with various backgrounds and although I have a Christ-centered worldview I do not impose my beliefs on my clients and I respect their preferences. I love to see my patients thriving in every area of their lives and pursuing their optimal well being and assisting them in achieving their goals is my goal.
