I am a board-certified nurse psychotherapist (RN MSN) with many years of clinical experience. My nursing background gives me a deep respect for the body-mind connection. I have expertise in helping those with acute and chronic illness as well as clients who have depression, anxiety, and difficulty coping with their current circumstances. I welcome and can provide support for, the elderly those who are grieving or have a terminal illness. With my years of experience, I also collaborates with clients recovering from substance abuse and issues with overeating. Those times can be challenging, and I can navigate the psycho-physical spiritual dimensions of those issues. I have been a Zen meditator for many years. I can provide mindfulness/relaxation training, as well as meditation.
My therapeutic background includes training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychodrama, hypnosis, and cognitive behavioral therapy. As a nurse I keep up with the latest information about nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and psychopharmacology. I welcomes the ability to be caring to diverse populations including those on the autism spectrum.
