Here at the Venn Center, we offer patients a unique therapeutic experience. I conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments, as well as provide both individual and group psychotherapy to clients of all ages. I also offer pharmacotherapy and medication management when appropriate. That being said, 25% of my patients are not on any medication since I employ non-medicinal interventions that help remediate psychiatric symptoms whenever possible. Offering these complementary services allows the clients I work with to feel empowered in their desire for change toward a healthier way of being.

Welcome to my practice. I am a licensed Advanced Practice Nurse board certified as a Clinical Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health. I have 20 years of experience providing psychiatric evaluations, psychotherapy and medication management to individuals, couples and families. Previous experience as a critical care nurse for 20 years provides me with additional knowledge of medical illnesses and how they contribute to mental health issues.

I am Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry and have been practicing since 2005. I completed my residency from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts and my Fellowship in Addictions from the Robert Johnson Wood Foundation. In 2014, I was featured in SJ Magazine as one of New Jersey’s top psychiatrists. I have experience working with adults as well as adolescents suffering from both psychiatric diagnosis and substance use disorders and have extensive experience working in both out-patient and in-patient settings.

I focus on treating the whole individual with psychotherapy and medication when appropriate, and after careful assessment. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I have over 40 years of experiencein conducting psychiatric evaluation and medication management as well as helping clients cope with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and adjustment to life cycle changes. I work collaboratively with clients to establish a trusting, mutually respectful and supportive relationship, set goals, build upon strengths to increase confidence self-esteem, and work toward solving issues which often cause people to feel stuck. Medication is a major tool to address the psychiatric diagnoses and addiction.

Linda Winful serves as a goal oriented Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Wellness Direct private practice office. Linda functions with over seven years of experience in mental health services using many modality of treatments and also specializes in substance abuse. Linda works to accommodate individual patient's schedules, such as weekends and late nights. She provides evaluation, treatment planning, pharmacologic management, and referrals as needed for patients. Linda, teaches Patient's and others about intended effects and potential adverse effects of treatment options.

I have 33 years experience in treating clients. I believe in connecting with my clients and making them relaxed and comfortable. My care is individualized to soothe my clients needs at an affordable cost. I have vast experience in Psychopharmacology, Psychotherapy especially CBT, Behavioral Modification and Interpersonal Therapies, Addiction Treatment and Forensic Psychiatry.

I am an integrative practitioner licensed in NJ & MA who can assess biochemistry to identify important deficiencies/abnormalities that may be related to mental health symptoms. I can provide genetic testing for med management. Patients often seek integrative/"functional" psychiatry after they have trialed multiple medications, experienced unpleasant/unremitting side effects, and have not been able to obtain symptom alleviation with traditional psychiatry. I believe strongly in psychotherapy to help the patient work towards healing. I work collaboratively with other treatment providers and am a strong advocate for my patients needs.

Dr. Emmanuel Anyanwu, DNP, APN-BC, PMHNP-BC is a Doctoral-Prepared and Board-Certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing a holistic and comprehensive mental health services to clients across all ages. I am registered in NJ and NY. If you are struggling with Depression and Anxiety, Bipolar and Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, ADHD, PTSD and Substance Use, Dr. Emmanuel is here to help. I have over 15 years clinical background in nursing and psychiatric mental health and substance use. At Sunrise Health, we work with our clients and their families to optimize patient outcomes and improve their quality of life.

My team and I specialize in child and adolescent psychiatry but have also seen adult clients for nearly 20 years. The bulk of our practice has been anxiety, ADHD and mood disorders in children, adolescents and adults. We have extensive experience with medication management of all levels of pathology from simple trouble focusing in school to suicidal or self-injurious behavior. We also work with special services schools to successfully reduce symptoms related to intellectual disability, mild to severe autism and/or developmental delays. Additionally, another specialty of ours is court-ordered psychiatric evaluations.

Sandhya praveen is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who is qualified to practice in psychiatry to diagnose, treat and prescribe medications for children, adolescent and adults. Some of her practice specialty includes ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorders and Schizophrenia. Sandhya has a Masters of Science degree in nursing.)

Dr. Jamal Mahmud is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his residency training from Drexel University College of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. Currently he is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Drexel Iniversity/tower health. He is well-published in local and international journals.
