This enforms me how how I relate to you, your child, teen, or family. Medications are used if necessary, and if progress is made and they are no longer needed, are lowered and possibly stopped. If they don't help I make every effort to adjust, change, or combine to get the desired result.

When working with children, teens, adults and families I address the difficulties in behaviors, feelings and thinking presented. An initial evaluation explores present and past concerns involving school, work, family, crises, peers, emotions, thought patterns, development, physical health, and environment. A treatment plan is coordinated with the patient that unifies the biological, psychological and social issues. An integrated approach includes referrals to other professionals as needed. By practicing evidence based medication management, I review each patient's concerns during the initial assessment and at follow up appointments.

I am an adult psychiatric clinical nurse specialist and nurse practitioner. My practice is located at HWY 290 and Hollister in Houston, Texas. I provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, medication, and psychotherapy. I treat individuals, couples, families, and groups. My Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program was completed through the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology. Our treatment methods help you find wellness while keeping you out of the hospital. With an interdisciplinary approach, InnerSpace combines therapeutic and psychiatric modalities. We specialize in treating mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD and learning disorders, and various forms of addiction. Group sessions occur on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4 pm to 7 pm. The program also includes individual therapy, individual psychiatry sessions, family sessions, treatment planning, and a feedback session upon completion of the program.

I am a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. I use a developmental biopsychosocial model to guide my clinical work. This model integrates biological (e.g. genetics), psychological (e.g. self concept), and sociological (e.g. family roles, culture) aspects of individuals at different stages of their lives. I find this model particularly useful in my work with athletes as well as people with ADHD and eating disorders. I also have a special interest in group psychotherapy and insight oriented individual psychotherapy.
