Patients are often experts of their own body and experiences; if not, we will work through blockages disconnecting oneself from one's body to gain insights. It can be overwhelming to seek help for mental health and be vulnerable with a new provider, so I want patients to know that I am here for you with an open heart and nonjudgmental mind. Since I have worked with patients who felt misunderstood or mistreated by healthcare professionals, I intentionally endeavor to break that pattern.

I am the owner/clinician of Hope Mental Health. We provide psych evaluations, medication and psychotherapy to all mental health conditions as needed, specializing in severe mental illness. When you schedule an appointment with me, you get a team of two. One of my interns will take a medical and psychiatric history and then I will come on and complete the evaluation and with you, my intern and myself, and we will make a treatment plan. On subsequent visits, the intern will follow you and will bring me on when medication or treatment plan needs tweaking. Our style is integrative in nature. All are in training in psychotherapy.

I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who graduated from Vanderbilt in 2016. Prior to starting a private practice, I worked in the acute setting at Salem Hospital treating clients in an inpatient unit. I have experience treating clients in stable, and acute disease states. Prior to beginning my career in psychiatric nursing, I specialized in behavioral neuroscience and studied for 12-years a combination of psychology, counseling, and behavioral interventions.
