I provide personalized treatment for both women and men seeking comprehensive psychiatric care. Problems can often feel overwhelming. Together we will work to identify the problem and the solutions in a safe and confidential atmosphere. If you are feeling anxious, down, or are having trouble concentrating I will work with you to attain a better quality of life. If you already have a therapist, I will communicate regularly with your therapist to provide personalized and effective care.
Before becoming a psychiatrist I was a family physician. I know the importance of the mind/body connection which is why I work to understand my patients health and life goals as well as their challenges. I provide extensive, high quality evaluation and evidence-based psychiatric treatment, and prescribe medications only when appropriate.
I am a board-certified, Georgetown University trained psychiatrist with a specialized interest in women's mental health. I completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health, where I studied the impact of reproductive hormones on mood and stress during pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into menopause.
