Mental illness has been a stigmatizing, significant burden for many of us, forcing us to navigate many challenges alone, especially those in our personal lives impacted by our illness. Our relationships, family life, educational experience, and careers can all be negatively affected by mental illness, especially when help is not available. It is vital that those suffering from mental illness have a safe space and a guide to help them overcome these challenges and find meaningful solutions.
My training and background do not make me an expert on how you are impacted by mental illness nor in terms of how treatment choices make you feel. I will always consider you the expert. I’m here to work with you collaboratively, as a partner, to help guide you towards a happier and more fulfilling life.
In addition to medication management, I find it important to incorporate psychotherapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic therapy, and existential therapy into my practice to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
