My name is Eurica Gaston. I have practiced as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for 6 years. My mental healthcare focus ranges from acute onset of illness to chronic mental illness. My approach to mental healthcare is a partnership between the individual, their families, outside resources, and myself. Each client is encouraged and expected to participate in all healthcare decisions. I provide and promote an environment which is open, honest, and free of judgement.
Client goals are set with the participation of the client, their families, outside resources and me. All goals are prioritized according to the client's needs. Each client will develop short term and long-term goals. During each session, discussions relating to the progression of the stated goals will be addressed.
During the first session, the client is expected to receive an introduction of myself, an assessment of the client's symptoms, and treatment options. During the initial assessment, the client will be offered treatment options, outside resources, and medication options, if needed. The client will also receive a follow up appointment if necessary.
