About
I am a board certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist and also board certified in integrative holistic medicine. I have special interests in ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, and treating individuals experiencing difficult life circumstances including relationship, high performance academic/job, and infertility stresses. I believe that mental health involves physical, emotional, environmental, cultural, and spiritual systems that are all interconnected. Treating each individual is unique and requires a thoughtful and collaborative approach and I employ an integrative and holistic approach to treatment.
I graduated magna cum laude from Brown University. There, I founded the Korean Adoptee Mentoring Program leading to my interest in cross-cultural psychiatry. I received my medical degree and completed my Adult Psychiatry residency and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship from New York University. I am on faculty at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
I conduct comprehensive evaluations and formulate treatment plans tailored to each individual. I use complementary alternative treatment, psychotherapy, and medication when necessary to achieve optimal health. Treatment may include working together or referrals, when appropriate, to provide the best care. I also work with psychotherapists in split treatment.
