Mental healthcare should be collaborative and individualized, emphasizing patient choice and consent. This is the standard of care at my practice: Aspira Psychiatry, offering both psychotherapy and medication management services to adults. I encourage patients to be honest and open about symptoms and expectations. This information allows me to formulate potential treatments, explain the theory behind each option, discuss important safety considerations, and consult with YOU on your care. My goal is that you feel you have agency in your treatment, hope in your plan, and trust in your care—all of which contribute to better results.
Medication is only one part of mental healthcare. I stress the importance of psychotherapy in addition to medication and prescribe only when necessary. I practice evidence-based medicine and rely on chemistry and physiology in making medication choices. Treatment plans are decided collaboratively, emphasizing patient safety and autonomy.
Although I prefer in-person visits (while masking) because they are far more personal, telehealth appointments are available, especially for those living in Ohio but outside of the Columbus metro area. Visit our website or call to schedule your free consultation.
