Dr. Roth has over 25 years of experience as a board certified adult and child psychiatrist. He is also an adult psychoanalyst affiliated with the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute and a Qualified Medical Evaluator in psychiatry for injured workers in the State of California. Dr. Hansen began her medical career in the Army National Guard as a medic. After completing 12 years education, she moved to Alaska to work in integrated care models for the Native American people at Southcentral Foundation. During this time, she served as an adult & adolescent psychiatrist & director for the dual-diagnosis addiction program. She gradually transitioned to the field of tele-psychiatry & assumed the role of Behavioral Health Director for multiple towns in Alaska while concomitantly working in California for LA County. She now practices concierge tele-psychiatry in AK, AZ, CA & FL & is accepting new clients.

In my experience as a physician and psychiatrist all diseases, whether mental or physical, are a product of ancestral or generational trauma, which we have to resolve in this life. The symptoms and signs of disease tend to be entangled with our Unconscious Mind. We often times end up doing things, we are not aware of as a unresolved coping mechanism of trauma, like our family has done for ages. I am looking for clients who wish to address the deeper psychological conflicts that underlie their disease and who are ready to transform and let go of the past.

I am experienced in treating both adults and children with the use of Psychoanalytic methods. I use the object relations approaches of Klein, Winnicott and Bion. In child therapy, I engage children on a deep level through play, dreams, art and conversation. With adults, I use free association, night and day dreams. My object is to expose patients to their primitive, deep anxieties allowing them to work through their troubled minds, facilitating internal growth and development, and positive social interactions.
