She has been in nursing since 1991 and has practiced as an advanced practice nurse since 2011. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Southern Indiana, a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Frontier Nursing University, and a Post-Master Certificate, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from King University. Dr. Winzenburg is an Associate Professor of Nursing at King University in the graduate nursing program.
