I am a Psychiatric and Geriatric Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who enjoys working closely with my patients to help them find ways to understand and improve their quality of life. I believe that everyone has issues which can become problems if not understood and addressed as life is a process with many stages. My job is to help you to find ways to cope and give you hope and good outcomes by the use of counseling, education, medications or other alternatives.
I believe that Psychiatric Care is an art more then a science. Using personalized, and sometimes creative approaches we find ways to overcome and understand our difficulties. I believe that the patient will thrive if they become open and receive new information to focus on realistic short and long term goals.
I enjoy working with all ages, and have a Specialty in Geriatrics. Older adults and their family members deal with new stages and late life losses and/ or anticipated changes in mental status, physical health, and activities of daily living. I have interests in advocating and helping them navigate towards this inevitability.
