Elizabeth Milburn, MSN, CRNP, PMHNP, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Philadelphia
My clients feel heard and understood! I am scheduling new clients who need psychiatric medication management ages 17 and up. I offer in-office genetic testing to assess appropriate medication options for clients if indicated. I have over 6 years' experience in the mental health field, including providing medication management/therapy at a local university counseling center, evaluating patients in the crisis response center, and providing medication management/therapy in outpatient private practice and community mental health settings.
I am experienced in all areas of adolescent/adult psychiatry, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, stress/trauma disorders, and hair pulling/skin picking disorders. I have a great deal of experience switching antidepressant medications, and tapering clients off of antidepressants and habit forming psychiatric medications safely and comfortably.
Psychiatric nurse practitioners are able to prescribe all psychiatric medications and provide some types of therapy. I take a holistic approach, and recommendations may include medication, therapy, and changes to diet, activity, sleep hygiene, and supplements.
