Modern life is a complex interplay of work, family and friends. Particularly at times of transition, interpersonal dynamics can become difficult and painful, and we find ourselves in need of advice and support. I have experience working with individuals facing personal challenges: young adult life, marital issues, work life balance and raising children. I combine the use of medication with psychodynamic psychotherapy to treat individuals suffering from a variety of conditions including anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment disorders and attention deficit disorder.
I received my B.A. from Harvard University and my M.D. from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. I trained in psychiatry at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Hospital and am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
I have been an attending psychiatrist in community based settings at JBFCS, Bellevue Hospital Center and NYU Counseling and Wellness. In addition to my private practice, I serve as the medical director of the medical student house staff mental health program at NYUGSOM. I also supervise psychiatry residents at NYULMC.
