Hello. I am a board certified psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and adults. I see individual patients as well as couples and families. I completed my Residency training at Yale University and Fellowship at NYU School of Medicine, where I was chief resident and now am a faculty member.
Treatment should be aimed not only at treating the underlying symptoms (anxiety, depression, irritability, impulsivity, etc.) but also at helping the person understand how their past and emotional experience affect their relationships and their work. Successful therapy helps patients create opportunities for themselves and live a full life.
I am experienced in diagnosing and treating a wide array of emotional and psychiatric conditions. I take a holistic approach by including psychological, developmental, biological, genetic, cultural, and social determinants in my evaluations. I provide psychotherapy and, when appropriate, pharmacologic treatment. I collaborate with patients to design their ideal treatment strategy.
