Alexander Gumbs, FNP/PMHNP-BC is a dual board-certified practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine. Mr. Gumbs uses an integrative holistic approach to treat the bodies and minds of his patients. He is proficient in treating those across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, and seniors). Community focus is his passion. He has experience treating disadvantaged populations, such as the homeless and those in the criminal justice system transitioning back to civilian life. Mr. Gumbs treats those with anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, depression, autism, insomnia, dementia, and postpartum depression.

Stella enjoys communicating and educating her clients about the importance of taking an active role in their health and mental health. The stigma around mental health treatment can make initiation intimidating, because of this I offer a non judgmental and confidential space to get the treatment you need. As well I focus on the individual and not the diagnosis. Medication management cannot be performed properly if people are all treated the same. Services include medication management/review ,medical marijuana, and first time consultations to discuss a treatment plan. ADHD diagnosis/management is also provided. ADHD is often overlooked or under treated. My goal is to provide a personal experience where we work together for optimal care ensuring all needs are met.

He has 39 years of experience treating the full spectrum of psychiatric disorders, using a comprehensive biopsychosocial approach to expedite patients’ recovery. He has received multiple awards and recognitions in Harris County for his service excellence. Dr. Scardino began practicing psychiatric medicine in 1986, and has been chosen as the head of interdisciplinary treatment teams numerous times. He has served as a medical director at the MHMRA and Mid City Community Service Center.

I am a psychiatrist nurse practitioner with 18 years of practice experience both as a nurse and NP. Dedicated to exemplary patient outcomes and following all necessary treatment with the use of evidence-based practice. Strong focus on listening to and addressing patient concerns and answering all questions in terms patients can easily understand.
