Hello New York! My name is David Szuster and I have been practicing psychiatry in NYC for over 30 years. I have special interest and expertise in helping my patient's recognize the role that chronic toxic stress is playing in their lives. As New Yorkers we are oftentimes unaware of toll that our stressful lifestyles can take on our immune and nervous systems. In treatment we will uncover the true origins of the "need to achieve" mentality and find ways to bring balance and peace into our daily practices. I can conduct therapy session in English, Spanish or Hebrew.
I hold Board Certifications in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. I am an expert in psychopharmacology and I take my continuing education very seriously. I have extensive training in individual psychotherapy, family systems therapy, and psychodynamics. My psychoanalytic training involved in-depth study of Freud, Klein and Lacan.
