Her journey began in 1999 when she graduated with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Meridian Community College. She then progressed to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2015 and graduated at the top of her class. After furthering her career in nursing management and stress management courses, she decided to pursue the Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatry, at Herzing University where she graduated with honors.

I approach mental health with an open-mind and offer education and help seeking alternative treatment modalities such as Ketamine therapy and Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). My style of practice includes a comprehensive patient-centered focus of care that supports traditional as well as holistic care. My style of conservative psychopharmcological treatment is designed to be utilized collaboratively with the addition of a primary psychotherapist. Hi :) I am Katherine Jefferson, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, where I completed my Master's Degree in Nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. While pursuing my master's degree, I worked as a registered nurse in a neurological and trauma intensive care unit at UAB Hospital for over five years. I later worked as a travel nurse at Saint Anthony Hospital in Colorado.

I want to help those suffering with ADHD, depression/anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and other mental health issues. I want to truly listen to the needs of my patients and formulate an individualized plan to get you feeling better.

I earned my Master of Science degree from Binghamton University in New York, and received my nursing degree from Gannon University. Overall, I have almost ten years of experience in healthcare.
