I am a firm believer in people’s individual strengths and their bravery and perseverance in not only being a survivor but a thriver in regard to life circumstances. I graduated with my BSN in 1993. I graduated as an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner in 2014. I graduated as a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner in 2022. I am equally passionate about the benefits of initiating psychotropic medications if warranted.
I have an empathetic approach to the services I provide. I have a strong medical as well as mental health background. I provide a partnership approach with exploring different options with medications as well as non-drug interventions to help people achieve an understanding about the medicine and long term goals sought.
I have high expectations on my work but I also expect a similar response with my patients. I encourage patients on their need to put in the work with interventions utilized in a non-drug way in addition to the support that may be seen with the medications options that will be explored.
