My name is Edwin Sokalski. I have worked as a Psychiatric NP for the past 9 years. I utilize a combination of brief psychotherapy and thoughtful medication management. I have extensive experience with how psychiatric medications work and how they interact with both other psychiatric medications and non-psychiatric medications. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my patients. Shared decision-making is critical to an individual improving their life and situation. Our first session will be scheduled for a full hour. During that time, we will discuss the reason you scheduled an appointment.
I will evaluate and diagnose the problem. We will then discuss how I came to that diagnosis, and I will explain what the diagnosis means. Next, I will answer any questions about the diagnosis, and if we agree on it, we will then discuss medication options.
Once we agree on a medication, I will send in a script to your chosen pharmacy so you can get started on the medication quickly. I listen. Human beings are unique and need to feel heard. I am not judgmental.
