At Advanced Psychiatry, I combine an evidence-based practice with clinical experience, observation and listening to meet a patient “where they are” on their mental health journey. This is accomplished through comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and paying attention to what patients have to say. When patients feel heard and respected, they are empowered to view their practitioner as someone who partners with them as they work to improve their mental health. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. I have been in the medical field since 1988, and a Registered Nurse since 1996. I provide treatment for a broad range of psychiatric disorders (adhd/add/ anxiety/depression/anxiety/mood/insomnia/etc.).
Advanced Psychiatry accepts new clients ages 16-60. I encourage you to schedule an evaluation even if you are hesitant about starting treatment. An evaluation is not an obligation. An evaluation will help to formulate a diagnosis, discuss treatment options, and break down stigma and misconceptions. Ultimately, the direction your care will take is yours.
