Edelyn is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner receiving her post-masters PMHNP graduate degree from the University of Tennessee in 2021. She received her Bachelor degree in nursing in 1988 from the University of Connecticut, and has had an over 34 year nursing career in various areas of Psychiatric Nursing including inpatient, outpatient, partial programs, and 14 years of emergency room psychiatric crisis work.
For 6 1/2 years she was also an educator of undergraduate and accelerated nursing students at the College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Knoxville in their psychiatric mental health program. She is a member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Neuroscience Education Institute.
