Many of the adults who seek treatment are struggling in areas of life that matter deeply to them, whether in work, academics, relationships, or a broader sense of direction and fulfillment. Often, these frustrations arise from a combination of past experiences, including trauma and other difficult life experiences, current environment, biological factors, and patterns of coping that no longer serve them well. I work collaboratively with each individual, with attention to the full picture of symptoms, history, goals, and daily functioning, in order to help them move forward in a thoughtful and practical way.
Through clinical experience, ongoing study, and formal training including residency, I consider myself proficient in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. I find the diagnosis and treatment of adult ADHD especially rewarding, and treatment may include medication management along with psychodynamic, narrative, interpersonal, and skills-based approaches.
