Welcome. I treat patients facing a wide variety of physical, mental, and spiritual challenges. Depending on your specific needs, the treatment can involve medication as well as psychotherapy. We may work with depth and transpersonal psychology, dreams, non-drug psychedelic states of consciousness, and hypnosis. I also offer acupuncture, ayurvedic medicine, meditation techniques, EMDR, and holotropic breathwork.

The anxiety and stress are getting the best of you. Sunday nights are filled with dread as you think about the work week ahead. Your ability to sleep, focus, relax and enjoy life seems like a thing of the past. The anxiety is so overwhelming that you cope by switching to autopilot and you move through each day in a haze. Eventually, you go home, collapse on the couch, and try to distract yourself without snapping at everyone around you until you repeat the same thing the next morning. Something has to change. It feels like you’ve tried everything and you're not sure what to do next.

As a board-certified psychiatrist, I am able to assist you with medications and/or therapy. I have practiced for 20+ years in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, partial hospital programs, and residential settings. My speciality areas include depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, OCD, and overall emotional well being. I especially enjoy working with the LGBTQI+ community and strive to provide culturally competent care to marginalized populations. As an artist myself, I enjoy working with writers, visual artists, performers and creatives of all kinds. I also provide creativity coaching.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a focus on managing care for patients with depression, anxiety, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). I have always been fascinated with how the mind works and how the role of an individual’s relationships, genetics, and environmental factors contribute to their well-being. At age sixteen, I enrolled in college with a particular interest in child development, which expanded my curiosity about psychiatric conditions and holistic treatment approaches.

I treat adults who are struggling with a range of emotional pain or anxieties. Problems I try to help people sort out include loss and grief, the impact of loss on relationships and the meaning of a life indelibly altered; illness, new or a new stage of it, and how it impacts one's sense of self, potential, and meaning; identity, related to race, ethnicity, sexuality or gender; the complexity of parenting or having difficult parents; and ordinary but intimidating transition from one stage of life to another, the changes to the body, meaning, and connections to others that come with these transitions.

I am a Harvard-trained board certified general psychiatrist with over 30 years experience treating a wide variety of conditions and disorders associated with my specialty. I strive to provide the highest standard of care and compassion to each of my patients via psychotherapy and psychotropic medication treatments.

I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and I have extensive experience in individual psychotherapy and medication management. I believe in healing and growth through self-knowledge and that care must be individualized to suit each client's needs. I work with clients suffering from depression & mood disturbance, anxiety and addiction. My other specialties include young adult issues/college students, relationship issues, eating issues, women's health and perinatal mental health concerns.

In my experience as a physician and psychiatrist all diseases, whether mental or physical, are a product of ancestral or generational trauma, which we have to resolve in this life. The symptoms and signs of disease tend to be entangled with our Unconscious Mind. We often times end up doing things, we are not aware of as a unresolved coping mechanism of trauma, like our family has done for ages. I am looking for clients who wish to address the deeper psychological conflicts that underlie their disease and who are ready to transform and let go of the past.

I am an addiction and general psychiatrist. I practice evidence-based treatment and Medication Assisted Treatment for addictive disorders (Suboxone, Naltrexone). I believe in a patient-centered approach to treatment. I want to meet you where you are to craft a treatment plan that gets you to where you want to be. I can help you achieve control over your addiction (Opioids like Heroin, Oxycontin, Vicodin, alcohol, cocaine, methamphetamine, and/or tobacco). I am a general psychiatrist as well and you don't need to be addicted in order to seek help.

Queer Black Angels (QBA) is dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of Queer Black folks. As a Queer Black Cis male, I know the pain and isolation of navigating systems that claim to support my success, health and wellness and fail to adequately do so due to their lack of understanding the significance of my Queerness and Blackness. I understand all too well the trauma, anxiety, depression and burnout that comes with this experience. Fortunately, I also know the relief, peace and joy of being truly seen, heard and understood by a fellow Queer Black Angel.

I'm happy to meet you for: (1) traditional dynamic psychotherapy — only flexible, non-stuffy, and straightforward; (2) recognition of mind-body medicine, i.e., how the body affects the mind, and vice versa; (3) prescription writing when needed in addition to psychotherapy, with a light touch and full attention to pros and cons. The ideal patient appears successful on the outside, but suffers longstanding dissatisfaction or self-defeating behavior. Examples include prolonged reactions to trauma or grief, undue guilt or self-blame, or a pattern of interpersonal conflicts.
