I specialize in treating disorders of substance use as well as underlying psychiatric conditions, such as mood and anxiety disorders, ADD and various others. My approach is holistic, and I utilize alternative and complementary medicine in addition to traditional, western psychopharmacology. I provide highly individualized care, and look closely at each patient's unique circumstances to find and address factors that may contribute to their complaint.
Although I am trained in all areas of general psychiatry and addiction, my subspecialty is opiate dependence, and I have been using buprenorphine in an office based setting for nearly 10 years. I provide induction, maintenance and tapering to outpatients, in addition to referrals for other services as indicated.
My practice approach is based on an unconditional high regard for my patients as they confront the challenges before them. I am accessible and responsive, and advocate actively for my patients in various health care settings.
