The goal of good therapy is to find ways to love, work, and play through self-understanding. Taking the first step is often the hardest. I offer a safe and confidential forum for self-learning at a pace and manner best suited to you. My training and experience spans psychodynamic therapy, psychoanalysis, overseeing a large outpatient psychiatric clinic, training of residents and interns, and psychoanalytic education and supervision. I have been privileged to assist people for over 30 years. I am on professional committees, and teach at the University of Michigan and at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Psychoanalysis is a profession devoted to the depth understanding of human strivings, foibles, and joys. It is a bridging discipline that brings together body, mind, and heart. I have wide interests in the broader culture, and I am regularly involved in opportunities to grow professionally and personally.
My office is located in downtown Ann Arbor close to the U-M campus. Parking is plentiful a half block away.
