As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I take great pride in helping individuals work through their mental health challenges to reach their goals. Using a straightforward and down-to-earth approach to care, I aim to maximize outcomes using a conservative approach to prescribing medications. I implement a holistic approach to mental healthcare - integrating therapy, diet, exercise, and herbal therapies when appropriate in conjunction with prescription medications.

We see you as a person, not an illness. Together we will work with you to optimize your care and work towards remission of your symptoms. We ensure that you'll have time during your appointment to ask questions and make sure that you understand treatment options. We will offer suggestions for care and support what you decide. We will assess genetic and nutritional deficiencies and will add supplements and natural treatments as well as prescription medications as indicated.

My nursing career brought me the good fortune of traveling for work; I have lived in all four corners of the US (and in the middle, too!) and have enjoyed meeting and working with individuals of diverse backgrounds. As a nurse practitioner, curiosity and respect drive my practice; I join each person’s journey toward mental wellness with a collaborative treatment approach, taking time to “zoom out” and view symptoms through a holistic lens. In 2000, he joined the United States Air Force, where he worked as a clinical nurse in Pediatrics, Family Practice, Flight/Aerospace Medicine, and also had the opportunity to be a team leader on Vice President Dick Cheney's medical support team. Chris is an expert in diagnosing and treating ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Addiction, Stress, Trauma and PTSD - as well as many other conditions.

I am an adult psychiatrist, providing both psychotherapy and medication management for patients with a wide variety of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, trauma-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, attention deficit disorders, and others. I practice evidence based conventional medication management but am complementary-medicine and alternative-medicine friendly.
