Hello, and thanks for visiting my profile. You probably hear about anxiety and depression all the time, but what you may not know is that these symptoms can be a sign that you need to look inward to figure something out about yourself. I view medication as an "only when necessary" type of intervention, because although it can be helpful, it doesn't do much to help you know yourself better. My goal in working with you is to use whatever you are struggling with as a means to help you see yourself more accurately, which not only improves your symptoms but also opens up new possibilities in your life.
I attended the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine, and completed residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I worked with some of the country's top experts in the field. I also completed fellowship training in psychodynamic therapy at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute.
If you know someone who has had a good experience with therapy, you know how transformative this process can be. It can be difficult to find the right practitioner, as we tend to be quite busy, but it is certainly worth the effort.
