Relieve pain, release potential. That's my motto. A significant portion of my patients are children with severe behavior problems—aggression, emotional outbursts, oppositional behavior, or impulsivity. Many of these children have underlying diagnoses such as ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or other disorders that have gone unrecognized or undertreated. Their behaviors result in school suspensions or family conflict, and they require a nuanced, developmentally informed approach to care. These young patients come from all backgrounds, but what they share is a need for someone compassionate who is also an expert in mental health and medicine.
My patients and their families need more than just a diagnosis or prescription. They need a trusted partner who can help them navigate the mental health system and provide continuity of care. Families come to me feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or discouraged after months or years of searching for help. Part of my role is to offer a roadmap forward.
The children I serve have amazing potential. If we can remove the roadblocks and unlock their potential, they’ll thrive. My job is to help uncover that potential by creating personalized, integrated treatment plans that consider the full picture: medical, psychological, educational, social, and familial.
