My approach focuses on helping my patients to thrive on challenge. When we view challenges as opportunities, we experience adrenaline as excitement, and we grow; when we view challenges as threats, we experience adrenaline as anxiety. This means that anxiety is simply growth waiting to happen. I show my patients how to overcome worry and distractions by welcoming adrenaline and using it to work at their best. You can learn more about my approach at www.optimalwork.com.
I teach a weekly course on psychotherapy for anxiety to psychiatrists-in-training at Harvard Medical School, and use techniques from CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, mindfulness and hypnosis. Each course of therapy is tailored to the individual patient. See optimalwork.com for more details about my approach.
I am located just a few minutes' walk from the Harvard T station.
