I am a board-certified Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 34-years. In 2008, I returned to Upstate Medical University and was a graduate of the first program that was offered at Upstate for Family Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. I am very passionate about mental health and assisting others to understand their own mental health needs. I work closely with my clients to assist them in understanding their diagnosis, treatments available for their diagnosis and setting up a plan that will meet their needs best.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, licensed in New York. I have trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, family and marital therapy. I have always felt that the brain is the most important and neglected organ in the body, and taking care of the brain is the key to well being. I take a holistic approach to care, evaluating for physical, nutrition, hormones, situational and psychodynamic causes of illness, whilst practicing evidence based psychiatry.
