Our team of experienced mental health professionals includes Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Certified Physician Assistants, and Licensed Therapists. We care for adults, adolescents, and children, ages 5 and above. We accept most insurance plans including Medicare.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and psychoanalyst. I specialize in medical treatment and psychotherapy for depression, anxiety, anger issues, self-esteem issues, challenges with emotional intimacy, problems coping with stress, and obsessions. These symptoms often present themselves when individuals describe feeling "stuck" in their lives. They may have difficulties avoiding repetitive and unhealthy patterns that cause emotional turmoil and distress. I have found it is most therapeutic and cost-effective to provide psychotherapy combined with medication management (when appropriate).

My approach to patient care is holistic in nature and strives to go beyond treating symptoms by uncovering the root cause of mental health difficulties. With over 20 years of nursing experience, it has been my passion to deliver the highest quality of care with respect, and empathy for all patients. As a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, I strive to develop effective, individualized treatment plans with the goal of restoring balance and health. I am a board certified psychiatrist and an esteemed Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Fellow of American Psychiatric Association. I am fully trained in Adult, Child and Adolescent, Geriatric, Emergency and Addiction Psychiatry. I received my general and adult psychiatry training at University of Maryland/ Sheppard Pratt and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training from Johns Hopkins Medical Institution. I excel in healing depression, anxiety, attention/focus, sleep, and weight problems. I know the proper use of medications and know how to get you off medications you do not need. Overall I treat the whole body and mind by enabling patients to return to a natural balance in life. Many physical symptoms including pain and metabolic disorders can also be treated by addressing brain health. Not all drugs are good or beneficial and having a doctor who played a role in researching and developing the medications you may take is to your advantage. I offer these services generally three days a week.

I moved from Charleston South Carolina to Boca Raton in the summer of 2017 to be with my wife and two daughters as she accepted a position as an oncologist at the Cleveland Clinic. I am board certified, and currently treat those with Anxiety and Panic Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD and Depression. At the current time I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum, United Healthcare, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare. My fee for service is set minimally above insurance rates.

I spent nine years moving around the world taking care of our service members, their families, and our veterans. I had the privilege of serving in Alaska, Iraq, South Korea, and Italy and I plan to continue my service in the Army Reserves.
