I am dual board certified in Child/Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry. I received my Adult Psychiatry training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and obtained my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship from Hofstra North Shore LIJ School of Medicine. I treat a vast array of psychiatric ailments including but not limited to attention problems, mood issues, poor self esteem, PTSD, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, social awkwardness and behavioral problems.
I thoroughly evaluate my clients (utilizing clinical assessment and appropriate screening tools) and tend to conclude with recommendations regarding psychotherapy and/or psychiatric medications. I can continue to follow up with patients if mutually agreeable.
I have extensive experience utilizing CBT and believe in using medications only when necessary. My goal is to maximize quality of life and productivity of my clients; whether at school, work or social setting. I strive hard to promote seamless transition of care from childhood to adolescence to adulthood.
