Dr. Isela Werchan is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry. Dr. Werchan completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso. She received a medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed a general psychiatry residency training at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. She was Chief Resident and awarded the VA Outstanding Resident Award and the Van Dao Award. Her training experience includes the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, traumatic and obsessive compulsive disorders, as well as psychotic disorders.

I am Kasa Weber, a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I completed my training at Vanderbilt University. I provide medication management services to individuals across the lifespan with mental health and/or substance use concerns. My approach is holistic, meaning I take into account all aspects of my client’s health and wellness in providing care. I utilize evidence-based practices and pride myself on staying up to date on the latest research in psychiatry. My specialties include ADHD/ADD, anxiety disorders, depression, insomnia, PTSD and other trauma-related concerns.

My approach is based on integrative psychiatry, which uses medications, therapy and complementary medicine to treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. I address the combined impact of sleep, lifestyle, relationships, nutrition and chronic medical conditions on well-being, and use cutting edge tools like genetic testing to guide personalized treatment with medication and supplements. I consider the patient’s cultural background in my assessments and I can provide treatment in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. My goal is to help my patients create lasting changes and build vitality, resilience and purpose in life.

Our clinical practice is focused on treating individual holistically, we provide Medication management to adolescents, young adult and older adult with special attention to treating anxiety, depression, stress related disorders, attention deficit hyperactive disorder and substance use disorder. we also incorporate psychotherapy with focus on using CBT, compassion focus, acceptance and commitment which has been effective in managing and treating these issues.

I am a licensed physician since 2005 and have been practicing primarily child and adolescent psychiatry since 2008. Our goal is to see every child flourish in the context of his or her family. In addition to traditional psychiatric medication management, we also offer alternative treatments, as well as individual and family therapy.

Dr. Melissa Deuter is Psychiatric Medical Director of Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care. She supervises a team of professionals providing immediate psychiatric appointments as well as psychotherapy. Sigma Mental Health Urgent Care takes same day appointments and walk-ins at our San Antonio location, and is open 7 days a week except major holidays. Our Austin location has limited services and we request that you call to schedule in Austin. We treat people during gaps in care, while they are waiting to get an appointment in the community, and we can continue treatment long-term when our clinic is the best fit for an individual's needs.
