I am a board certified psychiatrist with 20 years of experience. I treat a wide variety of conditions including life adjustment issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety, mood disorders, and other common psychiatric conditions. I specialize in adult psychiatry and psychotherapy, utilizing a strengths-based approach and medications when indicated.
Psychotherapy promotes change by expanding one's compassionate understanding of the self. My focus in psychotherapy includes increasing awareness, augmenting positive emotions, and promoting life engagement by utilizing one's strengths. I also have experience working with professional and DI collegiate athletes.
Prior to entering private practice, I was a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Medicine from 2003 to 2014. My teaching and administrative roles included Associate Residency Training Director and Director of Psychotherapy Supervision. I am a consulting physician for the Seattle Mariners Major League Baseball Team.
