Hello, my name is Deana Batross. I have worked in health care in various capacities over the last 35 years, and advanced practice since 2004. This including cardiology, primary care, and mental health. I am also a professor of nursing at a local university teaching mental health at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

I have always felt drawn to help those suffering from mental health needs and believe in holistic care, treating the whole patient, not just the disorder. I believe in healthy lifestyles, medications as needed, and the importance of self-care and awareness to treat such disorders as anxiety and depression.

I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.
