I have been a Psychiatrist for about 30 years. My training was extensive in both medication management and psychotherapy, and my experience in all settings is that patients have the best outcome when patient are willing to work collaboratively on identifying stressors, creating treatment goals, building of personal strengths and insights, with medication being a tool in this process.
