I am dually board-certified in Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and have been in practice since 2004. I have undergone advanced training in child and adolescent psychotherapy, and have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults, including much experience working in the collegiate mental health field. Commonly-seen issues in my practice include ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Anxiety and Mood Disorders, and Disruptive Behavior Disorders (eg Oppositional Defiant Disorder). I also work extensively with families and school systems. I promote treatment in a nurturing environment and the formation of a strong therapeutic attachment.
I am fully trained and board-certified to provide quality evaluations and treatment for a wide range of patients, from early childhood through adulthood. Depending on the clinical needs of the individual patient, I offer both individual psychotherapy (with or without concurrent medication management) and medication evaluations and treatment.
I offer a unique, "one-stop-shopping" experience (in an age of frequently disjointed care) and a return of the idea that clinical decisions should be made between doctor and patients/families. Being a therapist and medical doctor allows me to provide the most multifaceted approach to patient care.
