I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 10 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field ranging from inpatient and outpatient care for mental health, crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at University of Texas at Arlington and received my graduate degree from Walden University. I have experience in managing mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance abuse and chronic illness through assessment and medication management for adult clients age 18 and older.
My focus is to assess, diagnose and treat the mental health needs of patients. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice.
My objective is to empower my clients and treat their illness through supportive education in a bias-free environment. An initial visit includes a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, establishing treatment goals and educating client on their diagnosis and available treatment options.
