I am a board certified Nurse Practitioner of Psychiatry with a Doctoral Degree from New York University. My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently provide outpatient medication management and psychotherapy to my clients.
My approach to psychotherapy is relational and experiential. My particular interest is the effect of interpersonal trauma in childhood on the development of illness across the lifespan. I am trained in evidence-based trauma treatments including: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotion Focused Therapy for Trauma (EFT-T).
I believe a therapeutic relationship based in trust, kindness, & respect creates a safe space for curiosity, insight, & change. I have a genuine passion for nurturing the resilience of persons with mental health concerns & I am committed to assisting my clients in a guided experiential process toward greater well-being and self-actualization.
