Dr. Daniella Gavito provides evaluations and treatment of the highest quality for young adults, adolescents, and children. Mental health problems can often begin in childhood and persist into adulthood. If left untreated, such problems can significantly impact multiple aspects of a person's life, such as social interactions, school performance, job performance, health, self-image, and overall quality of life. It's crucial to receive the correct diagnosis and treatment early on, as people are often misdiagnosed and given treatments that don't work.

She realized there was a serious shortage of psychiatrist that provided care to children, so she came to Lexington and spent two more years training specifically in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Kentucky.

If a patient already has a therapist, Dr. Gavito believes it is important to collaborate with the therapist as part of a treatment team. She has had great success in getting patients better, even those with severe symptoms.
