Hi, I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 7 years of Mental Health experience. My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, Anxiety Disorders, ADHD and chronic mental illness through psychiatric assessment, medication management and brief psychotherapeutic intervention for children, adolescent, and adult clients ages 13 and older. I believe in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidenced-based practice. My goal for my clients is to feel empowered to treat their illness.
My style of practice can be seen as traditional, prescribing up to date psychiatric medications or alternative medicine (natural treatments including vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise and stress management). I believes in the mind/body/spiritual connection, and we are made up as a whole person and not a series of parts.
A client can expect their initial visit to include a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, determination of treatment goals and education about diagnosis and available treatment options.
