I have treated a diverse group of clients from all races, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds. I have found that everyone's needs and goals are different, there is no "ideal client" in my opinion. Half the battle is recognizing there is a problem in your life which could be improved with treatment. A client that is ready to have open communication with their provider and do the work necessary in order to improve the quality of their life, that is whom I wish to work with. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client's symptoms decrease and their quality of life improve because of the treatment I have provided.
I am a board-certified Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of experience in mental health. I am experienced assessing and treating clients ages 18-70 for a variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, eating disorders, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders.
I pride myself on establishing strong patient/provider relationships where client's feel heard and are part of the treatment process. We will decide what is the best course of treatment together whether that may be therapy or medication management.
