Welcome, my name is Dr. Dan Coleman. My practice provides a safe, confidential and caring environment and it is my sincere goal to be a source of healing in your life. We all experience pain. Sometimes though, the suffering that accompanies this pain overwhelms our coping abilities. You may feel stuck, cycling through frustration, anxiety, depression, loneliness or even hopelessness. Psychotherapy can be an effective and healing way out of these suffering experiences.
By your feeling truly heard, seen and known, we can build a caring and trusting psychotherapeutic relationship. As a psychiatrist, I can also provide, when indicated, pharmacological treatment to bolster our therapy work. I have expertise in prescribing across all medication classes in mental health, however note I do not prescribe controlled substances.
I have extensive experience working with persons dealing with a wide variety of concerns, symptoms and diagnoses, and a strong record of success in stabilizing or improving the lives of those with whom I have worked. Reaching out to begin psychotherapy takes courage, but with your outreach, we can connect and begin to build a way out and forward together.
