I provide medication services to individuals ages 18-64 who are experiencing difficulty with a variety of mental health conditions including, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, trauma, and insomnia. I offer comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing medication management. My personality style is informal, practical, and sincere. You will find I put high value on laughter and the love of dogs! I utilize evidence-based practice perspectives to address emotional and mental health issues in a thoughtful, caring, and comprehensive manner, rooted in the core values of nursing. I embrace a collaborative style.
My treatment approach is a belief that understanding who a person is, is as important as understanding the illness they are struggling with. I follow a holistic approach; meaning to seek a complete picture (life circumstance, background, cultural perspectives, physical health, etc.) and view the mind-body connection as important to our overall well-being.
Wellness involves a combination of treatment modalities, ideally more than psychiatric medication alone. Working with a therapist, regular contact with a primary care provider to monitor overall health, lifestyle adjustments to diet, sleep, and exercise are often suggested. My goal is to utilize as few medications as possible to gain maximum benefit.
