Dr. Lara attained her doctorate from Wilmington University. She is a double board-certified nurse practitioner (Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner). She has extensive advance practice nursing experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. She has serviced the adult, geriatric, and adolescent populations. She has experience with individuals with dual diagnosis (eating and substance use disorders). She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
In the first session, clients will complete a psychiatric evaluation. During this visit, the provider will assess your needs to determine which medications, treatments, or recommendations would be most beneficial at this time. Please note that medications are not recommended for everyone.
My greatest strengths are my extensive experience across various subspecialties in psychiatry, including substance use, eating disorders, and working with both adolescent and geriatric populations. I also have experience working with diverse populations. I use integrative psychiatry modalities to help my patients feel well both physically and mentally.
