I am Dr. Dagmar Ngiowa DNP. I hold dual certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I am compassionate about my patient care and take a holistic approach in caring for my patients. I enjoy working with patients with all types of mental illnesses, to include, but not limited to Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder and much more. As a mental health practitioner, I apply compassion, empathy and respect when caring for patients, this helps to restore their dignity thereby reducing the stigma associated with mental health.
During patient's first session, I gather their chief complaints, symptoms, their personal, family, medical, and psychiatric information. This information helps me tailor an individualized and practical treatment plan that can help the patient. The patient will also have the opportunity to ask questions, and their treatment plan is also explained to them.
With dual board certifications in family medicine and mental health and with 7+ years of practicing and treating patients with different health issues, I've developed a systemic way of diagnosing and treating patients and in also creating an individualized plan that leads to a desirable outcome.
